Africell begins operating in the country in December

Africell will start operating in the country as of December. In the first phase, the fourth telecommunications operator in the country will operate only in the capital, however, the operator plans to expand its network to six other provinces in its first four years of activity.

In February, the operator announced that it was hiring. According to Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), the recruitment process is underway.

The operator intends to hire "competent staff", estimating that over a five-year period more than 6,000 jobs will be created, says RNA.

The telecommunications operator intends to introduce the 4G and 5G data service in the country. Its presence in the national market will increase the competitiveness of the telecommunications sector as well as help improve the quality of services and prices.

The entry of this new operator will also help foster economic growth and improve the well-being of the population.

Recall that in early February of this year, Africell formalized the contract with the government to become the fourth telecom operator in the country.

Africell has been working for about 18 years in the telecommunications area. Angola is the fifth market where the Africell Group will have operations, joining Uganda, Sierra Leone, Gambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, where it already has a customer base of 12 million.
