Six more flights announced between Angola and Portugal until April 17th

A total of six charter flights are scheduled between Monday and April 17 to make the connection between Angola and Portugal, five of which between Luanda and Lisbon and one to Porto.

In addition to the EuroAtlantic Airways flight that will bring this Monday back to Portugal a group of 260 Portuguese citizens, in an operation contracted by Alive Portugal, the same travel agency announces two more flights between Luanda and Lisbon, on the 9th and 17th of April.

Across, in partnership with Kitanda das Viagens Angola and Mercado da Viagens Viseu, will operate Hi Fly charter flights, with departures announced for the 8th and 14th of April.

Travelgest, for its part, announces for April 16 a charter operated by Air Europa to connect Luanda and Porto.

Angola closed air, land and sea borders to the circulation of people on 20 March, in an attempt to contain the spread of covid-19, but has authorized special flights for foreign citizens who wish to return to their countries of origin.

The country has so far registered 14 cases of infection with the new coronavirus, of which two resulted in death and two have already recovered.
