Arcor and Angoalissar Group invest 45 million dollars in a cookie factory in the country

The Argentine group Arcor and food distributor Angoalissar will start producing confectionery in Angola in 2021, with an investment of approximately 45 million dollars. The plant is expected to create 100 direct jobs.

According to a statement sent to Lusa, the plant is located in the Viana Special Economic Zone and is "at an advanced stage of implementation", with production expected to start in the first half of 2021.

The Dulceria Nacional project is expected to produce six thousand tons of products of various international brands, including biscuits, cookies and other confectionery products, such as chocolates, annually, creating 100 direct jobs.

The Argentinean group Arcor appeared in 1951 and is present in several continents with industrial units in more than 40 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Spain and China that produce for more than 120 nations.
