Refriango: 750 workers volunteer to live in the complex where the factory operates and guarantee production

Despite the state of emergency enacted in the country, industrial units such as Refriango continue to operate, taking into account the fact that they belong to the basic goods industry. To make production viable, the company created a contingency plan, which includes conditions for 750 workers to live in the Kikuxi Industrial Complex.

In order to guarantee the supply of essential goods to the population, 750 Refriango workers volunteered to make life in the industrial complex where the factory operates, on the outskirts of Luanda. In a statement, the company said that the workers expressed their willingness to support the country at the current critical moment.

Refriango guarantees contingency measures, so that the safety of workers can be privileged. "Several initiatives have been created over the last few years, together with the Ministry of Industry, so that we anticipated all the adaptation needs to guarantee the continuity of our operation. The most challenging was in terms of operations to create conditions to accommodate 750 workers of the various units operating within our industrial complex. In addition to the accommodation conditions, there was a concern to create conditions for entertainment and leisure for these workers ", said Diogo Caldas, CEO of Refriango.

Having ensured the continuity of the workers, the company also ensured the creation of partnerships with local industries, ensuring the supply of raw materials for uninterrupted production during the next three months.
