The most recent case concerns a 28-year-old Angolan citizen, who returned from Portugal on the March 21 flight and was in health custody, in institutional quarantine at a hotel. At this moment, the woman is admitted to the hospital in Barra do Kwanza.
Franco Mufinda also announced that the screening of all passengers on flights from Portugal that were quarantined in hotels was completed.
In total, 1006 samples have been processed and another 155 are being processed for hotel workers who could be in contact with the exposed people, but also the suspected cases that were being sent by the clinics.
Among those infected, 16 are Angolan citizens and one is South African.
The 13 active cases are "stable", with two deaths and two patients already recovered.
In the last 24 hours, the Integrated Public Security Center (CISP) received 22 complaints of violation of home quarantine and 17 alerts of suspected cases, of which three were investigated and two validated.
Currently, 1247 people are in quarantine in Angola, of which just over 500 are institutionalized. Another 201 have already been discharged.
