In a statement sent to VerAngola, the company informs that the new aircraft was named "Longa".
"The A220-300 aircraft will ensure domestic and regional connections, responding to the dynamics of traffic growth and market demand indicators", reads the note, which adds that passengers will benefit from "a high degree of comfort, convenience, cabin space and an overall improvement in their flight experience".
The aircraft has capacity for 137 passengers, 12 in business class, 35 in premium economy class and 90 in economy class. Furthermore, "this aircraft is characterized by its efficiency, with fuel consumption savings of around 25 percent, low noise pollution and reduced emissions of gases harmful to the environment, compared to the previous generation of aircraft".
The incorporation of this second Airbus A220-300 takes place within the scope of the strategic plan for the period 2024-2029 and TAAG's fleet expansion program.
"The reinforcement of the TAAG fleet is evidence of the company's path of modernization and growth, which will now have a more versatile fleet and greater availability of aircraft to meet the demand of passengers and customers," the airline also points out.
Thus, the company now has more than 20 passenger aircraft. "In total, TAAG now has 24 passenger aircraft, eight Boeing 777, seven Boeing 737-700, six Dash-8 Q400, one Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and now two Airbus A220-300," the statement said.
It is worth remembering that the first Airbus arrived in the country in October last year.
