After the inauguration ceremony, Carlos Alberto dos Santos will lay the stone for the construction of the second phase of the housing project, which is expected to build more than 1000 apartments.
"After the inauguration, Minister Carlos Alberto dos Santos, accompanied by the governor of Lunda Sul, Daniel Neto, will lay the cornerstone for the construction of the second phase of the project. This new stage foresees the construction of 1400 apartments of various types and aims to meet the growing demand for housing in the region, especially among young people, as well as contribute to reducing the housing deficit and strengthening the local economy," the statement said.
The 212 apartments, completed in this first stage, are of the T3 type, to accommodate more than 1000 residents in the housing project, writes Angop, which also says that the works began in 2017, with an investment of more than 33 million dollars.
The inauguration of this phase of the center is eagerly awaited by citizens.
This is, for example, the case of Jorge Neto, a teacher, who said that he is waiting for the housing application process to open, as he lives in a rented house and wants to provide better living conditions for his family. "I hope that this process will be transparent, to avoid confusion," he added, quoted by Angop.
While Manuel Guerra, a driver, said that the central location, long awaited by local citizens, will help improve the quality of life of many residents.
Before the opening day, the technical teams are finalizing the details so that everything is operational. "This Friday, technical teams will carry out the final tests on the water supply and energy supply systems, elevator operation and equipment positioning. The initiative is part of the preparations for the launch of the second phase of the General Txizainga centrality, which aims to expand the housing supply in the province", says the note from the government of Lunda Sul.
The tests, the statement says, "ensure that all infrastructure is operational and ready to receive new residents, reinforcing the Executive's commitment to urban development, whose inauguration is part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of national independence and responds to the requests made by the provincial government to the President of the Republic during his last visit to the province in 2024".
