Since the outbreak began on January 7, 9785 cases and 383 deaths have been recorded, with a fatality rate of 3.9 percent, above the norm.
Most of the new cases were reported in Benguela, Cuanza Norte and Luanda.
In the last 24 hours, 83 people were discharged and currently 401 people are hospitalized with cholera.
According to the latest UNICEF report, dated March 28, around 40 percent of cases are among children aged 0 to 19 years and 30 percent of deaths occurred outside cholera treatment centers.
Cholera is currently spread across 17 of the 21 provinces with 93 percent of cases reported in five (Luanda, Bengo, Icolo and Bengo, Cuanza Norte and Benguela). Luanda is the most affected province due to population density.
To increase immunity, an additional 700,500 doses of vaccine were made available for a vaccination campaign targeting high-risk areas in the provinces of Bengo and Luanda.
