Angolan League Against Cancer to build a “passage house” for patients from other provinces

The Angolan League Against Cancer will build a “transit house” that will facilitate the accommodation of cancer patients from other provinces of the country who have to travel to Luanda to receive treatment.

:

Actress Vanda Pedro, through her Facebook, explained that at the national level there is only "one state hospital for cancer patients" that is located in the capital.

Thus, all cancer patients "have to travel to Luanda for treatment, but not all of them have family members in Luanda and those who do cannot stay for six months to a year, which is the time for initial cancer treatment", making with many returning home without finishing treatment.

However, the official indicated that the institution was "graced with the donation of land" that will be used to build the "first house of passage" for patients who come from other provinces, thus responding to this problem.

According to the actress' publication, the foundation stone of the infrastructure was laid last Saturday.
