FAN will support voter registration in areas that are difficult to access with air resources

Voter registration in areas of difficult access, which do not have coverage of identification services, in the provinces of Uíge, Moxico, Malanje and Cuando Cubango, will be reinforced. The National Air Force (FAN) will support, with air means, the registration in those areas with a view to facilitating the process.

:

"The Ministry of Territory Administration (MAT) has the support of the National Air Force (FAN) to carry out the Registration and Update of Data of senior citizens residing in areas of difficult access, which are not covered by identification services, in provinces of Uíge, Moxico, Malanje and Cuando Cubango", can be read in a note made available on the ministry's website.

The note clarifies that the residents of those areas, when registering, will receive the Voter Card, a document that will allow them to vote in the next general elections.

This guarantee was given on Monday, March 14, by the Minister of MAT, Marcy Lopes, in a meeting with representatives of religious denominations and traditional authorities, the statement reveals.

At the meeting, the participants "presented some concerns and contributions to the process" as well as "guaranteed to continue with the work of raising awareness of citizens of voting age who have not yet registered and those who changed their residence after 2017, to join the BUAP".

The deadline to proceed to voter registration ends in about two weeks, on March 31.
