In a message shared on the website of the Portuguese embassy in Angola, Francisco Alegre Duarte, who replaces Pedro Pessoa e Costa in this post, declares that he will work to deepen this "special relationship between two friendly countries and peoples", which is reflected in a cooperation that extends to all domains of government action – from political-diplomatic dialogue to health, education, justice, mobility, security and defense, among others.

"The dense economic interconnection that unites us - and which is structuring for both parties - results from deep empathy in human, affective, linguistic and cultural terms", underlines the diplomat in the message.

Francisco Alegre Duarte also highlights that Angola will continue to count on the support of Portugal, in particular, of companies and the Portuguese and Portuguese-Angolan community, for the diversification of its economy, "creating jobs, wealth, partnerships and a space of shared prosperity , with mutual development and benefits".

For the Portuguese who live and work in Angola, he highlights the "strength and solidity of the relationship" between the two countries as a result of the sum of the contributions of all, in the most varied sectors.
