Dates announced for Angola Oil & Gas 2022. Event takes place in November in Luanda

The capital will host, from 29 November to 1 December, this year's edition of Angola Oil & Gas, which will receive regional energy leaders, executives from the country's public and private sector and international investors for three days filled with debates, presentations and networking.

"Energy Capital & Power (ECP), in partnership with the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas of Angola, is proud to announce that the Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) 2022 conference and exhibition will take place from 29 November to 1 December 2022, in Luanda", can be read in a statement sent to VerAngola.

The statement added that "Building on the success of previous high-profile events organized by the ECP in Angola in 2019 and 2021, AOG 2022 aligns with the government's national agenda to attract new investment for current and future projects across the country." energy value chain".

Sérgio Pugliese, President of the African Energy Chamber in Angola, quoted in the note, considers that this event will help to "stimulate investment in key projects" in the sector.

"This critical conference will undoubtedly help spur investment in key projects across the Angolan energy landscape, accelerating economic growth in a post-covid-19 energy transition environment. By highlighting profitable opportunities in strategic sectors as well as show the development of new and existing projects in a wide range of industries, AOG 2022 will move forward and consolidate Angola's position as a heavyweight in hydrocarbons", he said.

He added that the country is committed "to the modernization, improvement and expansion of the industry, recognizing the vital role that our oil and gas resources will play in the future of Angola and the continent in general".

In turn, Laila Bastati, director general of the ECP, made it known that the ECP is "enthusiastic and grateful to have the strong support" of local partners in Angola.

She also considered that Angola "represents one of the most profitable destinations for oil exploration and production in Sub-Saharan Africa and is well positioned to strengthen its position not only as an important African player, but also as a global player".
