The Luanda Railway, in a note published on its Facebook, states that the first experimental trip took place without any problems, with a train transporting a total of 333,600 cubic meters of diesel from the Muceques station, in Luanda, to the Malange.
"It was precisely 4:15 pm when a train with eight vehicles from the Luanda Railroad arrived at the Malanje station with a GE-C30-ACI locomotive at its head, towing a set of six cisterns with 55,600 diesel each, totaling in total 333,600 cubic meters, after departing from the Muceques station in Luanda", the note reads.
The company explains that this operation marks "the beginning of the implementation" of an agreement with the company Parametro Perfeito "which establishes the transport of one million cubic meters per week with the realization of three frequencies in the same period, when the point of highest of the operation".
Regarding this first trip, the Luanda Railway said that it took place as planned, without any problems and that the train is parked "in an appropriate place in the station to drain the fuel into the storage tanks".
According to the note, the trial period will run until the 4th of April, the date on which the two companies decided to mark it as "the starting point of the project" with the authorities and society.
"After Sonangol Logística, the entry of Parametro Perfeito in this fuel transport module increases the number of agents involved in this process, setting up a strong sign of confidence in the future, despite some constraints registered in recent times", adds the note.
