PAME, the latest support program that wants to help micro entrepreneurs

Designed to materialize financing solutions and management monitoring of up to 300 business initiatives, the Micro Entrepreneurship Support Program (PAME) was created to support young entrepreneurs in the provinces of Luanda, Benguela, Huíla, Huambo, Moxico and Uíge.

:

The project was launched by RETFOP (Project for the Revitalization of Technical Education and Vocational Training in Angola), with the support of INEFOP (National Institute for Employment and Vocational Training) and in partnership with KixiCrédito.

The Program is funded by the European Union, and is in line with the Government's employability promotion policies, says a statement sent to VerAngola.

Thus, in order to support entrepreneurship and the creation of small businesses to generate employment, the project will work for the success of business initiatives developed by young people aged between 18 and 35, who have a Technical High School Certificate or a Training Certificate Professional by INEFOP (in courses with a minimum duration of 720 hours).

The selected candidates will benefit from a microcredit and a follow-up in the management of their businesses.

The value of the repayments of the credits granted will constitute an INEFOP Fund to be used to continue the support to other entrepreneurs with the same profile, adds the document.

As part of the implementation of PAME, the training of technicians and INEFOP staff is also foreseen through the transfer of knowledge on monitoring processes to support entrepreneurship, to be ensured by KixiCrédito, which is the entity responsible for operationalizing the program.

Furthermore, the Program expects at least 40 percent of the beneficiaries to be women.

Registration for PAME takes place between the 22nd of March and the 13th of April, and young Angolans from the aforementioned provinces who meet the requirements for access to the program can apply through the website www.pame.co.ao.
