Country with two more deaths, 66 recovered and 50 cases of covid-19

Health officials announced Tuesday two more covid-19-associated deaths and 50 new infections with the new coronavirus, bringing the total to 536 deaths and 22,182 cases, plus 66 more recovered patients.

The health authorities announced this Tuesday two more deaths associated with covid-19 and 50 new infections by the new coronavirus, bringing the total to 536 deaths and 22,182 cases, in addition to 66 more recovered patients.According to the epidemiological bulletin of the National Directorate of Public Health, the cases were diagnosed in Luanda (47), Cabinda (1), Kwanza Sul (1) and Huila (1).

The ages range between 1 and 82 years, being 30 males and 20 females.

Two deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, of Angolan citizens, 35 and 92 years old, in Bié and Luanda.

In the same period 66 people were recovered, aged between 1 and 70 years old.

The laboratories processed 1661 samples and the cumulative points to 428,491 samples, with a positivity rate of 5.2 percent.

With the new cases, the country counts 22,182 infections, 20,446 recovered patients, 1200 active stage patients, and 536 deaths, with 87 people hospitalized and 26 in institutional quarantine.

The covid-19 pandemic has caused at least 2,792,586 deaths worldwide, resulting from more than 127 million cases of infection, according to an assessment made by the French agency AFP.

The disease is transmitted by a new coronavirus detected in late 2019 in Wuhan, a city in central China.
