Egypt, which is the second African country with the most fatalities, after South Africa, has 10,778 deaths and 183,591 infected, followed by Morocco, with 8645 fatalities and 484,159 cases.
Among the countries most affected are also Tunisia, with 8047 deaths and 234,231 cases of infection accumulated since the beginning of the pandemic, Algeria, with 2993 deaths and 113,338 infected, and Ethiopia, with 2386 fatalities and 160,813 infections.
In relation to Portuguese-speaking countries, Mozambique recorded 665 deaths and 59,914 cases, followed by Angola (510 deaths and 20,882 cases of infection), Cape Verde (148 deaths and 15,483 cases), Equatorial Guinea (92 deaths and 6095 cases) , Guinea-Bissau (48 dead and 3271 cases) and São Tomé and Príncipe (30 killed and 1840 cases).
