Camama was the location chosen to receive "the first drive-thru of a 100% Angolan brand with automated service", the company announced on its social networks. The space is located at Pumangol's fuel pumps, much for the convenience of drivers.
Hamburger lovers will thus be able to taste their favorite ‘pitéu’ without having to get out of the car. The technology makes it possible to speak to the employee who is going to register the order through an intercom, with the order being delivered later through a window.
Helivelton Francisco, creator of the Dooh Ponto brand, told AngoRussia that the project was never part of his plans, however, it was the realization of a challenge launched by Pumangol. “Pumangol had the space already available to test as a pilot, I started to investigate, materializing the details. I traveled a lot to see how the big brands do, how the system works, to be able to transport it to Angola. I used American companies, the same ones that install the systems at McDonald’s stores, among others of the kind”.
Also according to the businessman, the ‘Dooh Ponto Drive Thru’ project will be implemented in 79 Pumangol fuel points in the country, with the goal of creating more than 600 jobs.
The next places to receive the concept will be the brand's gas stations in Benfica and Via Expresso (in both directions).
Dooh Ponto started in September 2017 in a mobile home, currently having six stores in Luanda - Kilamba, Vila Alice, Sequele, Zepirão, Complex Girafa, Benfica and one in Pretoria, South Africa.
