CISP received 21,000 invalid calls. Numbers may be blocked and blacklisted

In the last 24 hours, the Integrated Center for Public Security (CISP) received 21,000 invalid calls. Authorities consider that the excessive use of the emergency number (111) disrupts the smooth operation of the line, admitting that the numbers of citizens who call without valid reason may be blocked and blacklisted.

In the last 24 hours alone, the CISP has received more than 24,000 calls, however only about 3,000 have been justified. The revelation was made by defence and security forces spokesman Waldemar José.

Considering that the misuse of the emergency number, terminal 111, can disrupt the proper handling of really urgent cases, Waldemar José made it known that CISP receives about 20 thousand calls per day, of which 90 percent are invalid.

In view of the numbers, the responsible admitted, quoted by Angop, that the numbers of people who call without reason may be blocked and placed on a black list.

He also took the opportunity to remind that the state of emergency, in force until April 11th, limits the circulation of the population, appealing that citizens should only leave home in emergency situations, such as the purchase of essential goods.
