Organized in collaboration with the company Trans Atlantic Gem Sales, the auction will include diamonds from the Luele, Catoca, Kaixepa, Lulo, Chitotolo, Tchegi and Somiluana production sites.
In a statement sent to VerAngola, the company informs that the viewing sessions will take place between 5 and 12 March, "at Sodiam's headquarters in Luanda, and the bidding process, which will be conducted electronically only, will close on 13 March at 10:00 am local time".
"This auction is aimed at customers registered in the Sodiam database, who have expertise in the marketing of special stones, and the lots will include a total of 36 special stones, weighing 10.80 carats or more", the note reads.
Of the 36 diamonds, 12 are from Luele production, 11 are from Catoca production, six are from Kaixepa production, three are from Lulo production, two are from Chitotolo, one from Tchegi production and one from Somiluana production.
"A detailed participation package will be provided in due time to the invited participants", informs Sodiam, which adds that this is the 13th auction of rough diamonds organized by it since 2019, the last of which took place in November last year.
Angola is ranked fourth among the world's largest diamond producers, having achieved production of around 14 million carats in 2024, earning 1.4 billion dollars.
