According to the director, in terms of infrastructure, work is progressing at a good pace to support production, without obstacles, and, if there are no delays in the delivery of equipment to the country, the first phase, which includes assembly, will be completed in November.

After that, the most complicated part remains, which concerns technology, whose technical equipment is being produced in Germany, Italy and China, and should arrive in the country soon.

Quoted by Angop, he pointed to the total completion of the future center by 2027, with the manufacture of vaccines, after the analysis and experimentation stage.

Presenting a physical and financial execution of around 50 percent, the center, whose construction began in July 2022, in the Santo António neighborhood (outskirts of Huambo), was visited by the German ambassador to Angola, Stefan Traumann, on Monday.

On the occasion, the German diplomat stated that this undertaking symbolizes the relevance of collaboration between the two countries in the agronomic sector, with a view to diversifying Angola's economy.

Stefan Traumann expressed satisfaction with the progress of the work and, optimistically, if there are no constraints, the project will be completed within the stipulated deadline, since financing is guaranteed, writes Angop.

In turn, Stefan Tavares Bollow, CEO of Gauff Engineering (a German company that is mobilizing the financing) stated that, with the future center, Angolans will be able to manufacture specific vaccines for animals.

Thus, he highlighted that the objective of the Government of Angola has always been to achieve independence in the import of vaccines, establishing a high-quality, international-standard manufacturing unit, capable of exporting to other African, European, Asian and American countries, aiming to create a source of robust foreign currency revenue.

According to the person in charge, the project is the most modern and top of the line on the African market, with tools coming from Germany capable of exporting to any country, surpassing those from South Africa, Ethiopia and Morocco, writes Angop.

Budgeted at more than 125 million euros, the project is being designed to manufacture, on average per year, more than 30 million doses of vaccines for mammals and more than 150 million for birds.

In addition to the future center, according to a note from the Huambo government, to which VerAngola had access, the German ambassador also visited the Manuel Rui cultural center and the journalist training center (CEFOJOR).
