Acts of corruption lead the Ministry of Justice to dismiss more than 20 employees

A total of 25 employees were dismissed, between November last year and February this year, by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights. The dismissals are based on acts of corruption, indiscipline, fraudulent issuance of documents, lack of diligence, incompetence, among others.

The ministry, in a statement to which VerAngola had access, informs that in the period in question several disciplinary measures were applied to employees, including dismissal.

"From November 2024 to the present date, several disciplinary measures have been applied to employees in this sector, the most notable of which is dismissal, due to acts of corruption, indiscipline, fraudulent issuance of documents, lack of diligence, incompetence, abandonment of place and violation of legal procedures", says the note.

According to the ministry, employees from ten provinces were dismissed, namely Luanda, Huambo, Bié, Benguela, Bengo, Cuanza Norte, Namibe, Uíge, Zaire and Cabinda.

Among the dismissed employees are, for example, Dirce da Silva (assistant notary in Benguela), Delfina Muginga (chief assistant registrar in Bengo), among others, and all names can be found on the ministry's Facebook page.

"Under the law, dismissed employees may only be admitted to public service four years after the application of this measure", the ministry also warns.
