In a statement, sent to VerAngola, TAAG informs that the flights will be operated by it and will have a weekly frequency.

"TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola has just renewed its partnership with Network Airline Management (NAM), an entity specialized in freighter fleet management. The partnership contract consists of an annual leasing agreement for a Boeing 747-400F freighter that will guarantee the connection between Luanda and the European hub of Liége (Belgium), with flights operated by TAAG, weekly on Fridays, from the New International Airport of Luanda, Dr. António Agostinho Neto (AIAAN)", reads in the note.

With this operation, the airline "estimates to move around 320 tons of diverse cargo per month, capitalizing on Luanda's new airport infrastructure, 'Dr. António Agostinho Neto'".

According to TAAG, the aforementioned freighter has a carrying capacity of up to 120 tons. Furthermore, the company considers that the freighter will respond to "demand indicators and cargo mobilization needs of different customers, namely those in the industrial sector and the oil and gas ecosystem".

The route between Luanda and Liége has "a flight duration of nine hours", being the cargo route "with the greatest contribution in terms of revenue and volume of cargo transported, namely with 2,712,009 kilograms registered in 2023".
