In a statement, the SGA said that the agreement signed on February 18, on the sidelines of the Changi Aviation Summit and the Singapore Airshow 2024, should improve the performance of airports in Angola and maximize their traffic potential.
According to the SGA, CAI, as a reference airport consultant, "will lend its experience in air traffic development with a view to enhancing air traffic at national airports".
Plans include specific airline engagement programs to increase domestic and regional air connectivity, as well as 'marketing' campaigns to attract passenger traffic, the statement said.
Changi Airports International "will enhance airports' non-aeronautical offerings and operational performance, including customer service, in order to enhance the airport experience," SGA highlighted.
The review of existing airport facilities and their maintenance regime, the elaboration of a new business strategy, which includes the development of long-term human capital and training to improve productivity, are still among the actions to be developed.
The president of the SGA executive committee, Manuel Gomes, cited in the statement, said that the partnership with CAI marks the beginning of an "exciting and collaborative journey" between the parties, who join forces to raise standards of excellence in airport operations.
The president of the CAI executive committee, Eugene Gan, said he looked forward to working with the SGA to raise airport standards, in order to facilitate greater and better circulation of goods and people internally and regionally.
