According to Angop, more than half of the flights (28) concerned imports, moving 310.20 tons.
The remaining four flights were export flights, moving 16.39 tons.
All in all, 326.59 tons of cargo were handled in more than 30 flights.
Having occurred with an average frequency of three to four weekly flights, according to Angop, the infrastructure received planes of the type Boeing 747-400, 737-800, Antonov 12 and Antonov 24, whose operation was carried out by the companies TAAG, Grupo Liz, Multiflight and Celta.
It is worth remembering that the new airport was opened in November 2023, and in December of the same year it received the first commercial cargo flight.
Regarding domestic flights, they are expected to begin at the end of the first quarter of this year, while international flights are expected to begin in the third quarter of this year.
