In addition to the holder of the Finance portfolio, the Angolan delegation is also made up of Juciene Cristina de Sousa, Secretary of State for the Budget, Pedro Neto e Silva, vice-governor of the National Bank of Angola, as well as Patrício Neto, director of the Cabinet of Studies and International Relations.
According to Angop, they attended, this Monday and Tuesday, the second meeting of the deputy ministers of Finance and deputy governors of the G20 Central Banks, in preparation for the meeting of ministers that begins this Wednesday.
Taking place in São Paulo, Brazil, the ministerial meeting – whose participation by Angola takes place within the framework of Brazil's rotating presidency of the G20, at a time when the African Union was recently accepted as a permanent member of the group – will address matters related to the role of national experiences and international cooperation in economic policies.
The agenda also includes the holding of an Africa-G20 ministerial meeting.
According to Angop, the Finance Minister is expected to hold meetings with Fernando Haddad, her Brazilian counterpart, as well as with Jay Shambaugh, under-secretary of the American Treasury Department.
