At stake are the clubs Atlético do Namibe, Sporting do Bié, Académica do Lobito, Sporting de Cabinda, Sport Lubango and Benfica, and Académica do Soyo (already extinct), writes Angop.
The official, who was speaking at a press conference in Lubango this Thursday, explained that there was an interruption of benefits. This situation dates back to 2018, the year in which some clubs received the last payment, despite Sporting de Cabinda and Académica do Lobito having received sponsorships until 2019, he added.
Regarding the reasons that led to this interruption, the official, quoted by Angop, clarified that, at the time, the subsidiaries and the body that took care of the clubs sponsored by the state oil company did not present justifications.
"With the extinction of the Social Cooperation Area at Sonangol and the emergence of the National Oil and Gas Agency (ANPG) we were lost and no one took on our problems, with this hiatus that I referred to, after exchanging experiences, we held several meetings and we understood that other clubs were in the same situation", said Jacques da Conceição, quoted by Angop.
The coordinator also informed that in August 2021, the beneficiary clubs sent a letter to the ANPG requesting clarification on the situation, however, until October last year they did not receive a response, adding that, due to the lack of responses, the clubs asked for a hearing Diamantino Azevedo and they were successful.
The minister instructed the ANPG to hire an accounting firm to assist in examining the clubs' reports and, thus, adjust the accounts, writes Angop.
With this process completed, it advanced, the resumption of sponsorships was instructed for November of last year, but it has not yet been implemented, supposedly because of the holidays during the festive season.
Cited by Angop, the official also made it known that the emblems are anxiously waiting for the minister's guidance to be implemented, which should still take place this quarter.
