CAF 'fails' Tundavala stadium due to poor state of repair

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) this Tuesday 'rejected' the Tundavala stadium, in Huila province, due to its poor state of repair, as part of the inspection carried out on Angolan stadiums.

:

The inspectors recommended that urgent improvement works be carried out, which include the laying of a tartan track, the replacement of mosaics in some areas considered to be degraded and of some pipes in the bathrooms.

They also requested improvement works in the press area, among other recommendations, so that the sports venue is authorized to host international matches again.

The director of the office for culture, tourism, youth and sports in Huila province, Osvaldo Lunda, guaranteed that the works for the implementation of the tartan track began two weeks ago, and promised that the CAF guidelines will be complied with.

The Tundavala stadium was built in 2010, at the time of CAN2010 organized by Angola.
