Government grants more rights to ANPG to boost block 24

The Government approved this Wednesday a decree granting the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG) the rights to oil block 24, trying to "make its exploration more viable and profitable".

According to the press release released after the meeting of the Council of Ministers, a "legal diploma was approved that grants the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels, in its capacity as national concessionaire, the mining rights of prospecting, research, development and production of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons in the concession area of ​​Block 24, in order to, with potential investors, make the exploration and development of hydrocarbons in the respective concession area more viable and profitable".

At the ministerial meeting chaired by João Lourenço, the Government also approved the new Organic Statute of the General Labor Inspectorate and the Statute of the Labor Inspector, in addition to the approval of the Remuneration Scheme for the Special Career of the General Labor Inspectorate.

This diploma "has the objective of standardizing the remuneration positions and giving greater dignity to the inspection function of the employees of the special regime of the General Labor Inspectorate, based on a remuneration policy of professional integrity".

In addition to the Remuneration Statute for the Social Worker's Career, the Government also approved "a new table of fees and fees to be charged for the issuance of licenses and assessment of environmental impacts and registrations of environmental consulting companies and their renewal".
