The construction of the second phase of Shopping Kikolo, in Luanda, will be anticipated, after the 75 stores of the first phase have been leased in just two days, said this Wednesday the promoter.

An official source from the Chinese group African Sunrise told Lusa that work on the foundations of the shopping center in Cazenga municipality, the capital, which began on January 9, could be completed in the next 25 days.

The company believes that the first phase of the project will be completed earlier than the 12 months planned, thanks to a rainy season that this year was milder in the country.

The construction of the second phase of the shopping center, with more than 70 stores, can thus be anticipated.

The 75 stores in the first phase were leased in just two days, underlined the African Sunrise, which offered the tenants the use of the spaces for life if they paid the rent in advance for a period of four and a half years.

Shopping Kikolo is the second shopping center to be launched by African Sunrise in Angola, after China City.

According to the press, at the time of the start of the works, the Chinese group said that Shopping Kikolo will have an area of 29,700 square meters and will create about 400 direct jobs.

Construction is the responsibility of the Sino-Angolan consortium Anzhong Construção Civil e Obras Públicas Lda.
