On the day that the Public Prosecutor's Office requested the seizure of the bank accounts of the businesswoman Isabel dos Santos, as part of the Angolan authorities' request for international judicial cooperation, Efacec clarified in a statement that the company and its shareholders "are separate entities", so the company's accounts "have not been frozen, either in Portugal or in any other country".

Efacec also assured that it "is operating at all levels", continuing to develop and participate in projects in the areas of energy, environment and mobility.

In the document, Efacec's Board of Directors also expressed "its gratitude for the fundamental support it has received from its customers, suppliers, banking institutions and employees".
