According to a statement from CIPRA, to which VerAngola had access, the minister will represent the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.

"The Minister of State and Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Adão de Almeida, will represent the Head of State, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, at the inauguration ceremony of the elected President of the Republic of Mozambique, Daniel Chapo, scheduled for Wednesday, January 15th, in Maputo".

It should be recalled that the Mozambican Constitutional Council declared Daniel Chapo (Frelimo candidate) as the winner of the elections held in October last year, with 65.17 percent of the votes.

Mozambique has been experiencing moments of tension in recent times due to the holding of post-election demonstrations, given that the elections continue to be contested by the Podemos party candidate, Venâncio Mondlane, who obtained 24.19 percent of the votes.
