IGAPE opens bidding to privatize CIF cement, beer and car factories

The public tender to privatize CIF's cement, beer and car assembly plants opened this Monday. The State Institute of Asset and Participation Management (IGAPE) informs that applications can be submitted until March 13th.

:

In question are CIF industrial units, located in the provinces of Luanda and Icolo e Bengo, and the option chosen for the sale of these assets was the limited bidding by prior qualification via electronic auction.

In a statement, to which VerAngola had access, IGAPE reports that, as of this Monday, "are open the bidding procedures limited by prior qualification via electronic auction, approved by Dispatches No. 200/25, No. 201/25 and No. 202/25, all dated January 16, of the Ministry of Finance, for privatization, in the form of asset sale, of the CIF industrial units".

Thus, IGAPE says, that are in a limited bidding process due to prior qualification the cement factory (CIF Cement) and logistics center (CIF Logística), located in Icolo and Bengo; the brewery (CIF Lowenda), also in Icolo and Bengo; and the automobile assembly plant (CIF CSG Automóveis), located in the Luanda Special Economic Zone.

The competition will remain open until March. "Applications must be submitted from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, until March 13, 2025. The documents constituting the application must be presented in an opaque, closed and sealed envelope, on the face of which the designation is identified of the procedure", says the statement.

According to the institute, the terms of reference for the competitions "establish a period of visits so that the investor can carry out the recognition and surveys necessary for a good assessment of the quality of the asset", and visits must be "scheduled in advance by sending an email, indicating the date on which the visit to the asset is intended, as well as the number of participants for each interested entity, which may not exceed five people, with them being responsible for the costs inherent to their displacement".

The procedure documents are available on the institute's website and can be viewed here.

"For more information and to schedule a visit, interested parties should use the following contacts: dpr.igape@minfin.gov.ao (e-mail); (+244) 926 334 211/ (+244) 923 490 765 (phones)", IGAPE also points out.
