New political-administrative division is the topic of conversation at the 12th edition of CaféCIPRA

The country's new political-administrative division (DPA) will be the central theme of the 12th edition of CaféCIPRA, which will take place this Thursday (25 January), under the theme “New Political-Administrative Division: what prospects for Angola".

To discuss the topic, the event will be attended by the Minister of Territorial Administration, Dionísio Manuel da Fonseca, and the governors of the provinces of Cuando Cubango and Moxico, José Martins and Ernesto Muangala, respectively, says a note from CIPRA, to which VerAngola had access.

The conversation, which starts at 2pm, will be broadcast live on social media and can be followed through the Facebook and YouTube pages of CIPRA and the Government of Angola.

The proposed law relating to the country's new DPA is already in the National Assembly, after being considered by the councils of Ministers and the Republic. If the proposal receives the 'green light', the country will have 325 municipalities and 20 provinces, in the first phase.

"The two new provinces, which may be created, will result from the division of the province of Moxico, now having Moxico and Kassai Zambeze, and the province of Cuando Cubango, divided into two: Cuando and Cubango", the statement also states.
