The Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, in a released statement, states that the meeting also analyzed issues related to the region's potential to contribute to increasing the development of the value chain of critical minerals.
The national director of Mineral Resources of Angola, Paulo Tanganha, and the administrator of the National Agency of Mineral Resources, Lucombo Pedro, coordinated by the Angolan ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Frederico Cardoso, participated in the meeting.
Frederico Cardoso, according to the note, spoke of Angola's geological potential, legislative and exchange rate reforms and the Saurimo Diamond Pole, in the Angolan province of Lunda Sul, stressing that the said structure and the Catoca mine "already use renewable energies in their their operations”.
On the sidelines of the round table, the delegation met with the World Bank and the company Jean Boulle Group, “which is developing diamond projects in Angola and is interested in entering other productive sectors of mineral resources linked to minerals and critical metals for the production of green energy”.
The delegation represents the country at the Forum on Minerals of the Future, taking place on the 11th and 12th of January, in Riyadh.
