According to the General State Budget (OGE) of 2022, the amount is part of the expenses of the Presidency of the Republic, being directed to the program "Charges with the completion of the centenary of the founder of the Nation", writes the Novo Jornal.
The founder of the Nation and the country's first president, Agostinho Neto, was born on September 17, 1922. Thus, his hundredth birthday is celebrated in September of this year.
It is recalled that, last year, a commission was created in charge of the preparations for the centenary of the founder of the Nation.
Coordinated by the Minister of State and Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Adão de Almeida, the commission is responsible for preparing the centenary, with the aim of ensuring that the commemorations are worthy of the anniversary in question.
