The exploration and management rights of four silo complexes were handed over to Grupo Carrinho Empreendimentos, within the scope of the conclusion of the public tender to privatize, in the form of assignment of the exploration and management right, five silo complexes. The remaining project was awarded to Agroawa – Sociedade Agroindustrial do Amboim.

According to a statement from the Institute of Asset Management and State Equity (IGAPE), Grupo Carrinho took over the Caála, Catabola, Ganda and Matala projects. Agroawa took over the Caconda silo complex.

IGAPE informs that the contest took place via auction, on the IGAPE Electronic Auction Portal, with 23 applications.

"In this process, the bidding focused only on the value of the fixed component, that is, the annual amount to be paid for the exploitation of the respective Silo Complex, whose purchase option may be exercised during the five years foreseen for the assignment of the right to exploration and management", reads the statement.

The institute also recalls that the tender was launched in November last year, having fulfilled "all the necessary administrative procedures and in accordance with the respective Terms of Reference and the Basic Law for Privatizations".
