Vinevala Farm aims to produce 4000 tons of wheat this year

Four thousand tons of wheat is how much the Farm Vinevala, located in the province of Bié, aims to produce this year. The plan, according to Alfeu Vinevala, owner of the agricultural unit, is to reinforce the production of this cereal with a view to strengthening the country's market.

The farm is preparing about 2000 hectares to produce wheat. Speaking to Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), the official indicated that the objective is to double the production levels of this cereal, from 2000 to 4000.

"Right now, we are already making the passageway with the machines re-grown, we have approximately 1200 hectares, but our desire is to increase it to 2000," he said.

The official indicated that if "at least two tons per hectare" are removed, they will have 4000 tons of wheat in the two thousand hectares.

"In the work we are doing, we are already extracting almost five tons", he said, calculating that if conditions are maintained and they continue to extract five tons per hectare, in the total of 2000 they will have "more than 10 thousand tons of wheat" on the farm.

"Joining with other producers this seed that the State acquired in order to promote the promotion of wheat, the province may have greater numbers so that the country can only gain from wheat production in the coming years", he indicated, quoted by RNA.
