Covid-19: country with 89 new cases and 1416 recoveries in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, the country reported 89 new cases, one death and 1416 recoveries, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the National Directorate of Public Health, released this Thursday.

The highest number of cases was found in the province of Luanda (42), followed by Cuanza Sul (22), Luanda Sul (15), Huambo (3), Bié (2), Huíla (2), Moxico (2) and Cuando Cubango (1).

The 89 infections, of which 46 are male and 43 are female, were registered in patients aged between one month and 66 years.

The bulletin also reveals that, in the same period, a man died in the province of Lunda Sul.

1416 recoveries were also reported, of which 432 in Luanda, 253 in Cabinda, 231 in Zaire, 188 in Benguela, 116 in Cuanza Sul, 55 in Huíla, 43 in Cuanza Norte, 35 in Moxico, 25 in Huambo, 21 in Cunene, 11 in Bengo and six in Bié.

In the same period, the laboratories processed 1296 samples by RT-PCR with a daily positivity rate of 6.4 percent.

With the latest data, the country accounts for a total of 97,901 cases, of which 3739 are active, 1893 have died and 92,296 have recovered.
