Governor of Bengo visits works for the future Provincial Hospital of Caxito

Mara Quiosa, governor of Bengo province, visited the works of the future Hospital de Caxito. The visit served for the governor to see the progress of the project in loco, as well as to establish a closer dialogue with those responsible for the construction company to which the work was awarded.

A statement sent to VerAngola states that the work is being carried out by the construction company Promed International and is being "built in a space of five hectares, with a construction area of ​​about 15,000 square meters".

The value of the work will be around US$ 60,000,000.00, and the delivery period is 18 months, the note said.

The supervision and maintenance of the project will also be carried out by the construction company.

According to the statement, in addition to administrative and technical services, the hospital will also have an intensive care unit, laboratories, a surgical center, maternity and emergency wards, among other specialties.

"The construction of this infrastructure is part of the government's strategy, which aims to ensure functional health systems and well-equipped hospitals for the population, in order to guarantee accessibility to primary health care", the note advances, explaining that the undertaking was awarded to Promed International, a subsidiary of the Mitrelli group, "with vast experience in the area whose core values ​​are the commitment to excellence and reliability, ensuring that each solution is designed to reflect its unique approach to projects".

The construction company's project manager, engineer Nuno Pereira, assured that the work is taking place within the established deadline and guaranteed that the future hospital will give "another breath" to the health of that area.

"This new chapter sets a significant milestone for these communities that will now greatly benefit from good and affordable healthcare," he said, quoted in the statement.
