Covid-19: Angola reports 759 new cases and 1399 recoveries in the last 24 hours

Angola recorded, in the last 24 hours, 759 new cases, two deaths and 1399 recoveries.

According to the epidemiological bulletin of the National Directorate of Public Health, released this Wednesday, the highest number of cases was in the province of Luanda (343), followed by Zaire (101), Huambo (84), Cabinda (81), Huíla (40), Moxico (29), Benguela (27), Bié (22), Cuanza Sul (12), Uíge (10), Lunda Sul (7), Bengo (2) and Lunda Norte (1).

The new cases were registered in patients aged between 23 days and 103 years, 485 males and 274 females.

In the same period, two deaths were also recorded, of which a man and a woman, in the provinces of Luanda (1) and Lunda Norte (1).

According to the bulletin, there were also 1399 recoveries, of which 883 were in Luanda, 381 in Huambo, 46 ​​in Uíge, 43 in Bié, 22 in Lunda Sul, 14 in Huila, eight in Lunda Norte and two in Benguela.

The laboratories processed 4156 samples by RT-PCR with a daily positivity rate of 18.3 percent.

With the latest data, the country has a total of 91,907 cases, of which 9024 are active, 1842 have died and 81,041 have recovered.
