In a statement made available on its Facebook page, the Government states that at the meeting, which took place this Thursday, January 13, constraints related to the operation of the German credit line were addressed.

"In compliance with a directive from the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, the Minister of State for Economic Coordination was accompanied at this meeting by the Secretary of State for Finance and Treasury, the deputy governor of the National Bank of Angola and administrators of the BDA, where they analyzed in depth the mechanisms that will facilitate the use of the Deutsche Bank credit line, aiming at the need for greater support to the economy", indicates the note.

At the meeting, it was decided "that the projects already submitted to the BDA be urgently studied, within the scope of this credit line, and that the financing of the down payment of projects through the Angolan Risk Capital Activo Fund (FACRA) be evaluated".

In addition, the stakeholders also recommended "reduce the guarantees by 50 to 70 percent, according to the inherent risks" as well as "evaluate the possibility of renegotiating the interest and capital rates of the grace period and find a solution for the debts of entrepreneurs registered with the Credit Risk Information Center, especially those with projects in progress".

The GTE was also asked to continue to work together with State institutions, with the aim of finding the best solutions for the problems presented.
