Angolan creates application to help find missing persons

The angolan Madalena Miguel has created an application that helps in finding and locating missing persons, especially children and adolescents. Called 'Procura' (in english: Search), this platform aims to promote the dissemination of useful information on cases of disappearance.

The project officer explained that the use of 'Procura' is simple and that it can be used at national level, with the main objective of disseminating useful information about cases of disappearance.

"Each user can enter or report the missing or found person. The platform will allow to create a network of cooperation and solidarity with families and victims in the search for a solution to this evil," she said, quoted by Jornal de Angola.

The application was developed by Zulumukainvest based on the various reports that appear on social networks.

According to Madalena Miguel, people use social networks daily to share information about this kind of cases, considering that the application will be an added value for the combat and resolution of cases of disappearance of people.

The 'Procura' aims to work in partnership with the authorities. To this end, Zulumukainvest wants to establish a partnership with the National Children's Institute and the National Police. The possible partnership could help these institutions to make a quick search in the existing database of the application.

The application can be downloaded for free from the Play Store.
