Covid-19: country announces 51 new cases, three deaths and 330 patients recovered

The country has diagnosed in the last 24 hours another 51 cases of covid-19, three deaths and were considered recovered from the disease 330 people, announced this Monday the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda.

The new cases appeared in Luanda (20), Huambo (13), Cuanza Sul (8), Benguela (6), Bié (2), Huíla (1) and Moxico (1), aged between 1 and 78 years, of which 31 were male and 20 female.

Regarding the deaths, Franco Mufinda said that these were three men, with 51, 55 and 61 years of age, adding that another 330 patients were considered recovered.

Angola now has a total of 18,926 cases, with 439 deaths, 16,647 data as recovered and 1810 active, of which nine are in critical condition and eight severe.

A total of 964 samples were processed in the last 24 hours, in a total of 335,309 tests, with a cumulative positivity rate of 5.6 percent.

The covid-19 pandemic caused at least 2,031,048 deaths from more than 94.9 million cases of infection worldwide, according to a balance sheet made by the French agency AFP.

The disease is transmitted by a new coronavirus detected at the end of December 2019 in Wuhan, a city in central China.
