The entity revealed that during 2020 it replaced 95 ATMs of its park. "In an especially difficult year, this investment by BFA is a clear demonstration of the bank's commitment to providing a quality service, both to its customers and to the Angolan payment system in general", can be read in the note.
In the document, the bank states that this reinforcement aims to "ensure that customers and the general public carry out their transactions at ATMs in a convenient manner, especially in this period of confinement where there are limitations to face-to-face service and customers are encouraged to use non-face-to-face channels".
Near the festive season, there were several complaints about the lack of ATMs with cash, which led to large floods and made it difficult to withdraw cash. The reinforcement now announced by BFA will help alleviate the pressure that has been registered in recent weeks.
Speaking to the Expansion, Joaquim Caniço, administrator of Empresa Interbancária de Serviços (EMIS) justified the problems registered during the festive season with the location, scarcity and lack of maintenance of the machines.
