According to the administrator, cited by Angop, the bureaucratic issues related to the project for the start of oil exploration activities in that area have already been resolved, including opening roads and the construction of the shipyard.
After this stage, Idónio dos Santos said that they will move on to the research phase with a view to analyzing and defining the crude oil production capacity in the aforementioned block, considering the period in which the wells were out of operation.
The administrator, cited by Angop, explained that the project concerns more than two tens wells drilled since 1968 in Massabi and Dinge, as part of a program called Nzila.
Initially, the exploration of the aforementioned oil wells was carried out by Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited, but years later they were transferred to Sonangol and ENI.
