Lobito academic without money to continue in the African Confederation Cup

Académica do Lobito is running out of money to continue competing in the African Football Confederation Cup, admitted the club's president, Luís Borges, who described the financial situation the team is going through as critical.

:

Borges lamented the fact that the club he manages does not benefit from State funds, like clubs such as Petro de Luanda, 1.º de Agosto and Interclube, among others.

“It is unacceptable that, of the three clubs that represent the country in African competitions, only two receive money from the State”, he reinforced.

In the next round of the African Confederation Cup, Académica do Lobito, who have already suffered three defeats, travel to Ghana, where they will face Dreams FC, on the 20th of this month, but Luís Borges has already admitted the possibility of the Angolans missing the trip for financial reasons.

“If I wake up in a good mood, the team will go to Ghana, but if I wake up in a bad mood, Académica won’t go” he guaranteed.

Académica do Lobito is ranked last, without any points.
