The information was provided by the Ministry of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security, in a statement to which VerAngola had access. "The Minister of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security, was distinguished as minister of the year in an initiative of a social nature, by the agency Skylight Comunicação e Eventos, which included five general categories and one special, namely provincial governor, municipal administrator, deputy, minister, revelation politician and political personality of the year", the note reads.
The award ceremony, adds the statement, "consisted of the presentation of trophies and certificates".
The aforementioned initiative, according to the prize's spokesperson, also aims to encourage society to "participate in political life", as well as "actively monitor and analyze the individual performance of its representatives".
Regarding the selection criteria, these were based on "the evaluation of the performance of the work carried out in representation of the interests of the populations, as well as the trajectory and reputation of the competitor, and the voting process must follow two distinct stages", adds the note.
Born on February 4, 1965, the Minister of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security is from Namibe. Teresa Rodrigues, who has a degree in Law from the Faculty of Law of the Agostinho Neto University, has been the head of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security since 2020, having previously held office in the executive as interim legal director at Empresa Nacional de Diamantes – Endiama.
