At issue is a list of 34 individuals, allegedly drawn up by the Presidency's protocol, who will be part of the delegation that will supposedly accompany the President, João Lourenço, his wife, Ana Dias Lourenço, children and grandchildren, on a private visit to the Seychelles islands, among Saturday, December 30th, and January 9th, 2024.

The list, widely shared on social media since Wednesday night, includes advisors, security officers, a doctor and support team, and has been the subject of comments, criticism and analysis, particularly regarding the number of members and travel costs. , given the socioeconomic crisis that the country is experiencing.

Following the “leak” of the aforementioned list of the presidential entourage, photographs of the passports of all members who are scheduled to embark for the Seychelles were also published on social media.

Without any official reaction, so far, the portal “Correio da Kianda” says that the act was carried out by a technician from the Ceremonial of the Presidency of the Republic of Angola, who, he writes, “is already detained”.

The trip to the Seychelles Islands and the authenticity of the documents have not, to date, been confirmed or denied by the President's support bodies.

Lusa questioned the Presidency and the police, without having received a response, so far.
