“For convenience of service, the President of the Republic terminated the term of office of the members of the Board of Directors” of the Fund, indicates the press release.

The president of the Board of Directors, Carlos Alberto Lopes, who had been appointed in 2018, for a five-year term, and the executive director Laura Alcântara Monteiro, ceased to serve.

Armando Manuel is the new president of the board of directors, 10 years after leaving the Fund to lead the Ministry of Finance. It is worth remembering that the economist was the first president of the institution, between 2010 and 2013, having been replaced by José Filomeno dos Santos.

Rui Jorge Van-Dúnem Alves de Ceita and Alcides Horácio Frederico Safeca are reappointed as executive directors, Ismael Abraão Gaspar Martins as non-executive director and Pedro Sebastião Teta, who becomes non-executive director.

The board of directors is joined by executive directors Gabriel Augusto da Silva and Igor Ricardo de Pina Lima.
