According to superintendent Gaspar Inácio, it is assumed that the incident occurred on the 21st of this month, with the victim filing a complaint two days later.

Gaspar Inácio said that, in light of the complaint, the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), in coordination with the National Police, carried out measures that led to the arrest of the suspects, who were already present at the Public Prosecutor's Office for legal proceedings.

The source added that the respective criminal case has been opened, which is being processed at the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Bengo.

The Bengo Police spokesperson stressed that, in parallel, the disciplinary process is taking place in the inspection of the Bengo provincial command of the National Police, to determine the veracity of the facts and take disciplinary measures, if the crime is confirmed.

The victim's husband, Augusto Domingos, said, in statements to Jornal o Apostolado, that he was detained for wearing a military uniform and his wife asked the accused to release him, and they asked for 30,000 kwanzas in exchange.

Because she did not have that amount, the woman also said, she was allegedly abused for five hours by the three police officers, who then released her husband.
